Who We Are

Our Story

At Oh Hey, Dog!, we know living with a dog isn’t always easy. Molly started this community after seeing just how isolating reactivity, overexcitement, leash struggles, and social challenges can feel for even the most dedicated Guardians.

“I wanted to build the place I needed when I brought home my own dogs — where people could learn, be supported, and never feel judged for asking for help.” — Molly, Founder of Oh Hey, Dog!

Reactivity, overexcitement, leash struggles, and social challenges can leave even the most stalwart Guardians feeling overwhelmed and alone. Too often, these struggles put stress on relationships and, in the hardest cases, can even put dogs at risk of losing their homes.

That’s why we built something different: a community of support. Nothing like this had ever existed before. Oh Hey, Dog! is the first organization created with the sole purpose of educating Guardians to identify, understand, and rebuild the foundations that create unwanted behaviors.

Here, Guardians don’t have to figure it out alone or pay someone else to do it for them. Our coaches work alongside you, helping you understand your dog’s behavior, build trust, become confident in your knowledge, and develop the skills to be your dog’s best advocate. Just as importantly, you’re surrounded by other Guardians who’ve been through similar challenges, overcome them, and are now committed to cheering you on without judgment.

Over the past five years, we’ve seen that behavior improves when trust and confidence grow, and that every dog and Guardian is capable of cultivating a relationship where those elements flourish. Together, we’re creating a safe, supportive space — not just for training, but for connection, confidence, and stronger relationships that last a lifetime.

OUR VISION

A world where Guardians and their dogs — especially rescues — are empowered with patience, understanding, and support to move through challenges together and build lasting bonds of trust.

OUR MISSION

To provide accessible resources, support, and education to all Guardians and dogs, in an effort to end the epidemic of abuse, neglect, and rehoming that affects so many families and their companions.

OUR PURPOSE

We saw a disconnect between adopting a dog and truly living with one — especially rescue dogs, who often need months to adjust to new lives. Without the right support, these dogs can struggle with fear, reactivity, or aggression, leaving their humans overwhelmed and isolated.

Oh Hey, Dog! exists to bridge that gap. Through safe, supervised environments, structured support, and ongoing education, we reduce re-homing and help families build lasting, trusting relationships with their dogs. Growth here is shared: members begin as learners, and over time many step forward as teachers, giving back the trust, patience, communication, and friendship they’ve gained.

OUR VALUES

We lead with love and compassion, recognizing that every dog and every human is unique. We believe every dog deserves the chance to learn, no matter their background or their Guardian’s circumstances. We believe in giving back, uplifting one another, and building a place where dogs can be dogs — and humans can connect, grow, and unite.

At Oh Hey, Dog!, success is collective. When one Guardian or dog succeeds, we all succeed. When one struggles, we rally together. This spirit of community, care, and perseverance is the heartbeat of everything we do.
Learn. Play. Repeat.
